After taking a sabbatical from my responsibilities as Senior Vice President for amepox MICROelectronics Ltd., I've again begun working as a full time Air Force Instructor Pilot with the 129th Combat Rescue Squadron. With recent assignments to ONW/OSW/OEF I've had plenty of opportunity to ponder solutions to aviation related problems. I felt that leading edge anti-icing is one area that has received little benefit from recent advances in technology. Today we either use bleed air, pneumatic boots, or embedded heater mats to rid wings of icing. Although better than nothing at all, these methods are effective but very expensive and inefficient. As a result thermalEDGE has chosen to apply materials and technology knowledge from amepox to develop an efficient and cost effective anti-icing / deicing system that could be added to any aircraft regardless of age.
